Retatrutide, when results stall
- Split the weekly dose in two. Trials gave the whole amount in one injection a week. If you have been steady at a dose and progress has flattened, try taking the same weekly total as two injections a few days apart — 4 mg weekly given as 2 mg twice a week, for instance. The weekly amount does not change, only how it is spread.
- Run cagrilintide alongside it. Cagrilintide is an amylin analog, so it works through a different receptor than retatrutide does, and the two are sold together as a blend. The trials pairing cagrilintide with another drug used semaglutide rather than retatrutide, so this combination is community practice rather than something that has been studied.
